Re: Defragment media

it is refreshing that more and more people are distrusting the mainstream media, let that continue. unfortunately the war still wages, with youtube (google) and facebook dictating what fake news might be and pulling the plug on some organisations, or net neutrality potentially gone. not to mention t...

Re: Direct Democracy is mob rule

yah, read an article once explaining that most people wont know what freedom is until they actually experience it. you can go back to surfdom in old europe, where the workers never owned the land but lived on it and worked it for the landlord, and had to give a percentage of their yield to the owner...

There should be a fair or almost robust minimum wage.

Having studied economics in university, I fell for Reaganomics’ trickle down theory, believing that big business will take us to new levels of prosperity. But now I know that this is complete bs. “Have you felt trickled on lately?” as some economists have joked. Maybe in the form of peepee dripping ...

We should be able to vote where our tax dollars go.

Not only should we individually be able to vote on many matters, such as if a country should go to war, but we should be able to vote on where our individual tax contributions go. Maybe there are some out there who are outright averse to war. Why should lets say 51% of their tax contributions, as is...

The strong should take care of the weak, hence a form of socialism

If we are voting on what to do with any resources that a society collects as a whole (such as collected taxes), should any of that be used to take care of the weak? One farce I find with democracy is that everyone is basically voting to better themselves. The wealthier in society want to be wealthie...

Re: Direct Democracy is mob rule

Re: Direct Democracy is mob rule

although i find this discussion interesting, it's not really what this Page was intended for. i wouldnt call every conservative a nazi because i consider myself somewhat a conservative, owning several online businesses and taking care of myself my entire life. in any case, what form of government we...

Re: Direct Democracy is mob rule

well i have to admit that i'm not well studied in the case of venezuela and cuba, in any case much of what i wrote above applies to what i believe or feel. i saw 1984 and although it more closely reflects soviet communism, i believe the effect can be the same or similar when the pendulum swings to t...

Re: Direct Democracy is mob rule

this is a typically ignorant perception of americans. it is true for the case of communist soviet union, but communism does not equate with socialism, nor does the soviet union exist anymore. the most socialist existing state i can think of at the moment is cuba and i do not believe their people can...

Re: Direct Democracy is mob rule

i don't hate your country, i dislike what it is doing around the world. if anyone is trying to get in it is the poor countries, or those that are being bombed the crap out of by the US, sending them back to the dark ages. and to repeat, this Page is not about promoting socialism but freedom of vote....
